T'was just a garden in the rain. Close to a little leafy lane. A touch of color 'neath skies of gray. The raindrops kissed the flowerbeds. The blossoms raised their thirsty heads. A perfumed thank you. They seemed to say. Surely here was charm beyond compare to view. Maybe it was just that I was there with you. T'was just a garden in the rain. But then the sun came out again. And sent us happily on our way.

Practicum has been made so much more bearable with my fellow trainees. i'm thankful that there's 7 of us so it's really a riot when we're together. Also a good excuse to go for lunch/dinners together.

L-R: Johnson- the doting daddy/art teacher from Brunei. He has the cutest 2 little boys. I have a newfound respect for art & DT teachers. Their workload is crazy. I'm always running to him for clips/color pencils/constuction paper/scissors and help in drawings. JL: at 1.89m, he is one mean tower. he has a neverending supply of cadbury bars which i love stealing from- keeps me warm from the freezing artic winds at my aisle. ZG: We share the same supervisor. He's really generous, fetching me home on many occassions in his cute red car. Very sweet to his girlfriend. always there to encourage me and remind me that God is in control. :) Shu: She's my morning buddy :) we're always the first to reach school at 6.45 am, station ourselves in front of the computer to print work. Her daily lamentation to me, "once again, it's the two of us." CK: drives an apple green car. sends encouraging emails. the foodie. Natalie: the one i run to when i need to whine especially during those stressful periods. we kept each other awake for one night trying to finish our respective marking.

After weeks and weeks of leaving school at 6 in the evening, last friday marked the first time we got off school early coz it's the exams and we finally got to enjoy the rare benefits of being teachers... jetting off to Vivocity at 2 pm, without having to endure crowds, and tucking into a deliciously satisfying meaty buffet at carnivore.

1 week left. I hope we can all end up together eventually.

in the meantime, i'll miss food deliveries from the boy and the breathtaking evening skies that greets me each time i reach home.
