T'was just a garden in the rain. Close to a little leafy lane. A touch of color 'neath skies of gray. The raindrops kissed the flowerbeds. The blossoms raised their thirsty heads. A perfumed thank you. They seemed to say. Surely here was charm beyond compare to view. Maybe it was just that I was there with you. T'was just a garden in the rain. But then the sun came out again. And sent us happily on our way.

NUS is really pretty.. as i was mugging with Clydia in the forum yesterday.... the scene before me was the two big trees right in front. They looked so majestic... so pretty so part of my 6 semesters here in Arts... if there are plans to clear the trees for who knows what reasons in the future.. i would be the first to protest. i'll prob camp myself on top of the branches and stay there. Clydia responded when that happens, Jordan would prob come & have a good talk with me... heh. i'm gonna miss mugging with you clydie....

I love taking photos of the skies.. an everlasting and beautiful reminder of how BIG God is and how small I am. Breathtaking... the hues.. blue, orange, pink, purple... my vocab is inadequate... Let the poets speak....=)

"Darkly, deeply, beautifully blue"
"And they were canopied by the blue sky, So cloudless, clear, and purely
beautiful, That God alone was to be seen in Heaven."~
Lord Byron

"The sky is the daily bread of the eyes." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Sometimes gentle, sometimes capricious, sometimes awful,
never the same for two months together; almost human in its passions, almost
spiritual in its tenderness, almost Divine in its infinity."
~ Bayard Ruskin

He covers the sky with clouds; he supplies the earth with rain and makes grass grow on the hills. ~ Psalm 147:8

Dogs! and a few cats...

last sem, a cat gave birth to a litter of kittens in my carpark on a truck! it was an amazing sight... looking at all five kittens prancing around. my favorite's the one in the pic.. the white one with those huge eyes. Too cute!

Clydia & I were having our "Daily scoop" of ice-cream... when we came across a gorgeous Husky! My dream dog! She is so affectionate... licking my face & all. =)

the centrepiece is none other than Xiaoxi's beloved Bobby! He is super adorable. He cracked us up plenty during our visit. he's just like a baby... so adorable... i love the shot where he's sleeping... so peaceful.

Last but not least, our chinese new year visit to Wesley's place. First time i saw his cats. they have the cutest names & the most diverse of personalities... e aloof "latte", serene "salem," & elusive "tin tin"... i only got a glimpse of it. it was MIA the rest of the day. i forgot the other 2.

Flowers

Roses for SMs during e last HOTR for last semester, Bouquets of flowers at Wang lao shi's dance performance, Gerberra in Shanice's room, the luscious red rose for my 21st from Clydie =)

I simply LOVE flowers!

Flowers are the sweetest things God ever made, and forgot to put a soul into. ~Henry Beecher

Hope's gentle gem, the sweet forget-me-not. - Samuel Taylor Coleridge

These stars of earth, these golden flowers. - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

The daisies' eyes are a-twinkle with happy tears of dew. - Fizhugh Ludlow

Yet, no--not words, for they But half can tell love's feeling; Sweet flowers alone can say What passion fears revealing: A once bright rose's wither'd leaf, A tow'ring lily broken,-- Oh, these may paint a grief No words could e'er have spoken. - Thomas Moore

The plants look up to heaven, from whence they have their nourishment. - William Shakespeare

He who does not love flowers has lost all love and fear of God. - Ludwig Tiek

Lovely flowers are smiles of God's goodness. - Samuel Wilberforce

There is to me a daintiness about early flowers that touches me like poetry. They blow out with such a simple loveliness among the common herbs of pastures, and breathe their lives so unobtrusively, like hearts whose beatings are too gentle for the world. - Nathaniel Parker Willis

The Omnipotent has sown His name on the heavens in glittering stars; but upon earth He planteth His name by tender flowers. - Jean Paul Friedrich Richter

+ Christmas +

I love Christmas for the significance it brings. =)

Last december, i had the priviledge to take part @ e Christmas at orchard for the second time. It was heartwarming to meet up with the people from Agape christian home. Seeing Joycee.. she has grown so much taller! =) heh this time i was a roman servant maid while she's a shepard daughter. We had so much fun! bumped into Shushyan! A bunch of korean girls joined us. so cool.... that we have partnerships with the korean churches!

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. ~ John: 3:16
