T'was just a garden in the rain. Close to a little leafy lane. A touch of color 'neath skies of gray. The raindrops kissed the flowerbeds. The blossoms raised their thirsty heads. A perfumed thank you. They seemed to say. Surely here was charm beyond compare to view. Maybe it was just that I was there with you. T'was just a garden in the rain. But then the sun came out again. And sent us happily on our way.

Christmas Prayer

This morning i caught Oprah Winfrey's show...titled A trip of a Lifetime... she travelled to Afria and gave an insight to the Aids Epidemic..

Dec 1st is World Aids Day...here are some facts...

8,000 people a day around the world die from AIDS-related illnesses. No country has been harder hit by this epidemic than Sub-Saharan Africa with more than 70 percent of the world's AIDS cases, and children are the most innocent victims. There are reports of babies as young as a few months old being raped by men who believe a common myth that having sex with a virgin will cure them of AIDS. The epidemic is spreading quickly in the countries of the former Soviet Union and China. But India is losing ground to AIDS faster than any other country. At one of the largest AIDS treatment centers in India, the women's ward is so crowded that each bed is shared by at least two patients who rotate in 12-hour shifts. But there is no medication to help them fight their disease. There are few visitors because when a woman gets AIDS, she is deemed a non-person. In the poorest corners of the world, AIDS does discriminate. No single group is more at risk than women.

The problem is- medicine is not easily available to them and they are very expensive.
The plea is for america to provide medical supplies.
Bono and Nelson Mandela were featured in the cause for Aids... Bono wrote this song titled American Prayer which was really beautiful.. & touching... the whole african experience ended with the worlds aids day concert with Bono singing this while lighting a candle... it was an amazing sight .. seeing the sea of candles...

Bebe Winan's My Christmas Prayer...

I pray for peace Blessings and honor

Heaven right earth’s despair
This is my Christmas prayer
For those that grieve
God will bring comfort
Laughter will rapture there
This is my Christmas prayer
I pray for you
That you triumph and conquer
And possess the strength you need to bear
This is my Christmas prayer
For those in need
There would be plenty
And each other’s burdens share
This is my Christmas prayer
So let hope fill our hearts
Shine the light through the dark
All around the world and everywhere
I will prayThis Christmas prayer
See I pray that love will rule and reign
And I pray that time will rid the pain
Of this world as we learn to trust and care
