T'was just a garden in the rain. Close to a little leafy lane. A touch of color 'neath skies of gray. The raindrops kissed the flowerbeds. The blossoms raised their thirsty heads. A perfumed thank you. They seemed to say. Surely here was charm beyond compare to view. Maybe it was just that I was there with you. T'was just a garden in the rain. But then the sun came out again. And sent us happily on our way.

I'm working on: 30 essays. 80 summaries. in the staffroom at 7.35pm. I've been: grumpy, sleepy, coughy, prickly. I need: a long uninterrupted sleeeeeep. I miss: sundays without marking. a nice date. friends. me not being grumpy, sleepy, coughy, prickly.
Listening: The Wreckers "Do you know i cry... and it's not the good kind."

Do you know the ending scene in You've got mail where Meg Ryan walked through a park of pretty blossoms and a dog came running towards her... and Tom Hanks appeared eventually. That's River Park West 91st street, New York and that's precisely where i'd love to be right now.

Funny how I feel more myself with you
Than anybody else that I ever knew
I hear it in your voice, see it in your face
You’ve become the memory I can’t erase

You could have been anyone at all
A stranger falling out of blue
I’m so glad it was you

oh i so love that movie! my all time favorite! hang in there dearie...actually, don't just hang in there, but thrive in the midst of the painful process.

what's ur favorite time of the day, all nestled in and intimately close with God? from that kind of safety and security, draw strength to do even the seemingly most dreary of things.

i may not fully understand, but i know Daddy does. n He loves u. very much. *hugs*
